Prefixes 1



Look for 3 new words that have a prefix in your new list (after-, fore-, pre-, post-, re-).

Do THREE things with each word - 

1.  Type the new word correctly spelled in CAPITAL LETTERS.
2.  Type the new word AGAIN, splitting it into syllables with a back slash (/).
3.  Use the new word in a complete sentence underlining the word.

Example:

UNSELFISHLY
un / self / ish / ly
Madi clearly acted unselfishly when she gave her last dollar to the Salvation Army.

    2. REPORT, RE / PORT, You report that the coast is clear.
    3. REINFORCEMENT, RE / IN / FORCE / MENT, A text said we need reinforcements.

    They were not able to recreate the movie because the actress that played Susan had died last year.

    FORECAST

    fore / cast

    The weather man told us the forecast for today is sunny with a high of 83. A perfect day for swimming!

    PREARRANGED

    pre / a / rranged

    She prearranged the wedding because she wanted everything to be perfect.
